Cabinet Refacing in Wheaton

This home in Wheaton originally had dark oak cabinets. A few years ago George and Cindy (the owners) had the cabinets painted white and they installed new granite counters. After a couple years the painted finish started to wear and chip, but they didn’t want to tear them out and damage the granite they had.  They called us and we refaced the cabinets in natural cherry with a glazed finish. We also converted the cabinets next to the dishwasher into two large drawers and added a glass door in the corner.

Their kitchen, like so many kitchens built in the 80’s and 90’s had a small desk that they never used. We made much better use of the space by replacing it with a custom-built pantry. Each pantry unit contains 5 glide-out hardwood trays.

We refaced the island in a solid color with a glaze to make it feel like a separate piece of furniture. The end result was a beautiful kitchen that was ready in just over a week (and they kept their granite).
