The Team

(Okay, it’s a very small team)

Hi. My name is Jim Pace and I started Kitchen Craftsman 24 years ago. I believe that if one is really lucky, their livelihood aligns with their passion, and I’ve been very fortunate in that respect.

Creating, designing and building has always been part of my life. When I’m not busy working on kitchens I may be building a boat or guitar or working on the never-ending renovation of my 90 year-old Geneva home.

When I’m not building stuff, I may be out paddling or rowing on the Fox River or biking on the Prairie Path.

A Few of my Own Projects

Experience

I’ve personally completed somewhere around 350 kitchen cabinet projects, from the initial consultation and design, right down to installing the last cabinet handle. I find a lot of satisfaction in seeing the transformation that takes place and also in the the excitement as the customer sees things taking shape.
“I knew it would look good – but I didn’t know it would look this good!”, is something I never get tired of hearing.

Partners

Over the years I’ve developed relationships with some of the best US manufacturers and also with some of the most talented local tradespeople. I generally don’t subcontract anything, but am happy to refer countertop fabricators, plumbers and electricians that I’ve worked with many times and trust.
